The Grambling, Louisiana Housing Authority (GHA) is seeking a qualified Executive Director who will provide leadership, oversight and management to ensure that the core mission of providing safe, sanitary living conditions for tenants is achieved in its low rent public housing program and Housing Choice Voucher Program.
The executive director is responsible for the General Administration of the PHA and must be able to effectively link other key management functions to this area to ensure results-focused management and service-delivery at every level within the Authority. Other key management functions for the executive director include day-to-day operations, personnel & training, information gathering and processing, prudent financial management and accounting, resource allocation, use of technology applications required for the HUD reporting system and public relations among others.
A Board of Commissioners appointed by the Town Mayor is the legally and financially responsible governing body of the PHA and the first line of accountability for the PHA’s performance. Typically, the Executive Director will supervise 7 to 9 staff including temporary and/or part-time staff and be responsible for 246 units.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and public housing experience are required.
