This committee helps to ensure the beauty and safety of the city neighborhoods and parks.
The Committee Chair is appointed by the Mayor and is seeking volunteers to represent the various neighborhood in the city. The mission is to enhance the aesthetics and environment of the city, through planning and management of the city’s natural assets including walking and biking trails. The Committee promotes community pride through projects, by forming partnerships with volunteers, schools, civic organizations, and local businesses.
To enhance the Brand of the City of Grambling; working with GSU and the Laboratory School and the Museum and external potential businesses.
Come and help the City of Grambling have a very Merry Christmas. Volunteer duties include participating in Christmas Pageants, Plays, Toy Drives, Events, Food Pantry, Parades, etc.
The Response Team consists of the Police and Fire departments along with other staff and volunteers. The Chief of Police coordinates efforts with various departments and agencies for processes and procedures in case of an emergency. The team is responsible for preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation of any natural or man-made disaster that may affect the citizens of our community.
The work of a volunteer firefighter is to perform under emergency situations and conditions that could involve potential personal danger. All service work is performed under the direct supervision of trained professionals.
The committee Chair is appointed by the Mayor and is responsible for organizing volunteers for the planning and coordinating of all activities and schedules surrounding this annual event. The committee liaises between the approved vendors and the city’s administration.
Collaborate with the University to develop Arts within the Community.
The purpose of The Garden Club is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to share the advantages of association by means of educational meetings, conferences, correspondence, and publications, and to restore, improve, and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in the fields of conservation and civic improvement.

RESIDENTIAL GRAPPLER (BOOM) TRUCK PICK-UP
1. Items should be placed on the back slope of the roadside drainage ditch of a public
road not on the shoulder of the road or in the bottom of the ditch. Pick-ups cannot
be made on private roads. Multiple items for pick up must be placed in individual
piles and stacked properly.
2. Bulk waste should be placed away from vehicles, poles, mail boxes, power lines,
meters, hanging tree limbs and other obstructions that might interfere with pick-up.
3. No demolition, renovation, construction, lawn service, or tree service debris from a
contractor’s work will be picked up. The property owner is responsible for proper
disposal of debris left by contractors.
4. Yard waste such as leaves, grass clippings, pine straw, shrub clippings and garden
waste must be placed in sealed plastic or paper yard bags to be picked up.
5. Limbs, branches and other tree parts should be cut in sections no more than 6 feet
in length and neatly stacked in a pile.
6. No debris from land clearing operations will be picked up.
7. Only one truck load (10 foot by 8 foot by 6 foot) per resident per quarter (three
months) will be picked up.
8. The following items cannot be picked up, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, washing
machines, clothes dryers, dishwashers, air conditioners, toilets, televisions and
basketball goals.
9. All oil and gas should be removed from items to be picked up.
10. No automobile or truck engines or tires will be picked up.
11. No hazardous materials such as paint, oil, or batteries will be picked up.
We ask that you call and request a pickup, so that we can schedule accordingly, and your items can be picked up in a timely manner.
